For automatic detection, add RSS feeds to Firefox’s header. This plugin allows you to easily add comments stream, feed comments per blog post and create RSS feeds. Configure >>Configure > > Feeds are not removed from your site’s local RSS feeds. You can add your Twitter feed or Pownce feed just like you could adding comments feeds.
